Role & Responsibilities:
As a Product Sales Executive, you will be responsible for driving sales and revenue generation while bringing about a positive change in India. Your role will involve promoting and selling our products and services to communities, building relationships with customers, and ensuring their needs are met. You will play a critical role in expanding our reach, creating awareness, and driving adoption of sustainable solutions.
- Identify and target potential customers across your assigned geographical areas in India to promote and sell our women’s hygiene, sanitation, and waste management products and services.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, community leaders, and local influencers to increase product adoption and drive revenue growth.
- Conduct market research to understand customer needs, preferences, and challenges related to women’s hygiene, sanitation, and waste management in rural areas.
- Develop and implement sales strategies, including identifying key sales channels, setting sales targets, and creating a roadmap to achieve revenue goals.
- Deliver persuasive sales presentations and product demonstrations to educate and engage customers, highlighting the benefits and value of our offerings.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to leverage marketing campaigns, events, and initiatives to generate leads and create brand awareness in rural communities.
- Provide product training and support to customers, ensuring they have a clear understanding of product features, usage, and benefits.
- Monitor sales performance, track customer feedback, and provide regular reports on sales activities, achievements, and challenges to the management team.
- Stay updated on industry trends, competitor offerings, and emerging market opportunities in the field of women’s hygiene, sanitation, and waste management in India.
- Act as a brand ambassador for our social enterprise, passionately representing our mission, values, and commitment to making a positive impact.
Minimum Educational Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field. Relevant experience (of at least 3 years) may be considered in lieu of a degree for those who hold graduate degrees in other fields (such as BA, B.Com and BSc).
- Candidates with a B.Tech / BE or degree or diploma in Computer Science WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED.
Essential Skills & Requirements:
- Passion for social impact: Deep commitment to driving positive change in rural India through women’s hygiene, sanitation, and waste management, and the ability to effectively communicate this passion to customers.
- Sales expertise: Proven track record in sales, preferably in a product or service-based environment, with a focus on revenue generation and achieving sales targets.
- Relationship building: Excellent interpersonal skills to establish and maintain relationships with customers, community leaders, and influencers in rural areas.
- Communication skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively engage with customers, deliver sales presentations, and negotiate agreements.
- Language Proficiency required: Excellent skills in English and Hindi, in addition to one or more regional Indian languages, are a MUST.
- Empathy and cultural sensitivity: Ability to understand and respect the cultural nuances and challenges faced by rural communities, adapting sales strategies accordingly.
- Persuasion and negotiation: Demonstrated ability to influence and persuade customers, negotiate effectively, and close sales deals.
- Self-motivation: Proactive and driven mind-set with the ability to work independently, take initiative, and thrive in a dynamic start up environment.
- Problem-solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to understand customer needs, identify solutions, and address challenges in the sales process.
- Resilience: Ability to handle rejection, overcome obstacles, and persist in the face of challenges while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Adaptability: Willingness to travel extensively to rural areas, work in diverse environments, and adapt sales strategies to meet the unique needs of each community.
- Commuting: Candidates MUST have a two wheeler registered in their name for official commuting.
